Make a description of your company. How many personnel do you have, and how much would you like to have for the next years?
Example:
We have 5 different areas: Marketing, production, management, shopping and maintenance.
Usually, we have about 100 persons in the production area for each project. Moreover, on a technical level, we will have 20 professional engineers leading our process. The marketing and management area will have 15 additional persons.
We are planning to increase our production by 75% thus our personnel. During high production is necessary to increase staff to 50%.
Only partners will handle maximum management levels.
Who are the persons that make up the management team? Make a list with a brief description of the position occupied for each of the members and the main tasks performed by them. Consider the strengths and weaknesses of the management team, and how are you planning to treat those weaknesses.
Example:
General Manager: Jim Raynor, Bachelor in business administration, has worked previously during 7 years as chief of buyers at Techtronix.
Production manager: Kerrigan Johnson, industrial engineer, worked on SMOON as leader of supervisors for 5 years.
Quality Manager: Peter Johnson, electronics engineer, started as quality technician in SSEMF and later, worked as quality engineer in Techtronix for 3 years.
Explain if you need personnel, and how are you planning to cover the non managerial positions of your company. Describe about the required profile and expertise level needed for each position, the estimation of the wages and if training is required. Define how you are planning to provide training, whether your company is on conditions to give it or attend to external training.
Example:
We estimate, on first stage, we will need qualified personnel in order to manage the new equipment, which will be provided by the manufacturer transiently, and to transfer the knowhow to our local personnel. Thus we could have enough personnel.
We have related with Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they expressed their interest to provide their advice services on themes of energy use, recycling and industrial processes.
There won’t be modification in wages paid by the company, except for the qualified technicians from the manufacturer who licensed the equipment, which are needed to supervise the correct operation of the equipment.
Find out what factors may affect the ability to identify and keep the required personnel for your business.
Example:
Our staff has more than 7 years working for the company. Therefore, we estimate their permanency in the business will not be affected. On the other hand, our personnel will be trained in the use of our equipment, which will allow achieving better wages in our company.
Explain whether your firm can vary the method of production and whether it has estimates of the cost of this variation. For example: working two shifts or more.
Example:
Our production has been studied considering labor regulations and the different alternatives of using our personnel on the working methodology: shifts, teams, extended day, etc. The investment made to personnel recruitment, is the result from the different choices that contributes to a better economic result of the venture.
