What sections does my business plan need to have?

There is not a rule about which section are required for your business plan just include what is important to your company but remember for most business the more complete is your business plan is better off you are.

Do I really need to write it all down?

YES. Your plan will help you to face tough issues that you may otherwise ignore.

Some examples:

  • How big is my market
  • How are my competitors
  • How much money do I need to get the business off the ground
  • When I expect to make a profit
  • What Threatens my business

How long should my plan be?

As long it needs to be a not a single word longer. Just right all that is important to your business. As I read some where in a book: “A business plan as thick as a Stephen King novel doesn’t impress anyone. In fact, it’s likely to scare them off.” What really impress your business plan readers is clear, straightforward, and to-the-point thinking.
